Michael V. Dyett is a photographer who also is a city planning consultant.  He co-founded Dyett & Bhatia, Urban and Regional Planners in 1976 in San Francisco, California.   He has taken pictures throughout the United States and abroad, starting with his Peace Corps days in Senegal. His work has been shown at the Image Flow Gallery  in Mill Valley.  He has done workshops with Jay Maisel in New York City, with Photoion in London and with Ricardo Vidargas in San Miguel del Allende.  He lives with his wife, Heidi Richardson, an architect, in Mill Valley, California. His son, James Dyett, is a Winston Churchill historian, an Arsenal fan and an accomplished photographer in his own right. Mr. Dyett graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy, Harvard College and the Harvard Graduate School of Design. He was elected a member of the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Certified Planners in 2008. He currently serves on the Boards of the California Film Institute/Mill Valley Film Festival, the Marin Theater Company and the Mill Valley Library Foundation; he also was on the Board of Trustees of the Headlands Center for the Arts.
